The Publication

About OREBA.org

OREBA.org is an independent battery science publication covering olivines, LFP, LMFP and emerging chemistries, with transparent sources and conference history.

OREBA.org editorial

OREBA.org publishes technical explanations and reference material on rechargeable batteries. Its focus is olivine cathodes, lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese iron phosphate, transport, conductive composites and cell degradation. Sodium-ion and solid-state research extend the discussion to related materials and interfaces.

The articles are written for readers who want the chemistry and engineering conditions behind a battery claim. They distinguish active materials from complete cells and systems, identify the test conditions behind numerical results and link to the original scientific or institutional sources.

An independent publication

The contemporary OREBA.org publication is independent. It is not the official website of the current OREBA conference organizers, a conference registration service or a research institution. It does not claim endorsement by the researchers, universities or organizations it cites.

Articles are credited to OREBA.org as an organization. No scientific team, individual credentials, peer-review process or laboratory experiments are implied. Editorial explanations are separate from the peer-reviewed papers listed in their references.

The domain's conference history

Hydro-Québec’s May 2014 announcement links to oreba.org for OREBA 1.0, the first international conference on olivines for rechargeable batteries in Montreal. Archived pages preserve its programme, committees, speakers and venue. That is the documented historical role of this domain. [1]

The present publication covers this history through independently researched conference references. It continues to discuss the scientific subject without claiming to be the original organizing body or an official continuation of its services.

The official OREBA III website is a separate source for the 2025 conference and its organizers. [2]

Research and illustrations

Scientific articles combine primary research with reviews and institutional records. References identify the paper, authors, journal, year and DOI where available. A programme or announcement supports a historical fact; it is not a substitute for a paper’s experimental evidence.

Diagrams are original explanatory schematics. They are labelled as conceptual where they are not crystallographic models or measurements. Calculated quantities identify their equations, constants, units and assumptions. External photographs and paper figures remain with their original sources.

The editorial policy describes evidence, review dates and corrections. The contact page explains what information makes a correction or source suggestion useful.
