The Publication
Editorial policy
How OREBA.org handles scientific evidence, numerical claims, source limitations, authorship, original diagrams, review dates and material factual corrections.
OREBA.org publishes sourced technical explanations. The site’s own articles are editorial material and are not presented as peer-reviewed research papers. References to peer-reviewed literature identify the external papers that support particular statements.
Evidence and attribution
Primary scientific papers support experimental and computational findings. Reviews provide synthesis and context. Institutional announcements, archived programmes and official event pages support historical and organizational facts.
The bibliography records available metadata and links to the original record or DOI. A metadata-only record establishes the identity and subject of a paper; it does not establish details hidden in an unread full text. Abstract-level statements stay within the abstract’s scope. Access limits are retained in the publication’s source records and exposed in the publications library.
If sources disagree, their dates, definitions and measurement conditions are checked before drawing a conclusion. Different mass bases, cell configurations or test protocols are not merged into one performance figure. Material uncertainty is stated beside the claim.
Numbers, calculations and figures
A quantitative performance claim needs a source and enough context to interpret it: material, cell configuration, mass basis and relevant test conditions. Theoretical and calculated quantities state their equation, constants, units and assumptions.
Original schematics explain concepts without implying measured crystal coordinates or experimental data. Their captions identify that role. An illustrative calculation is not described as a laboratory result, and no invented measurements are plotted.
Authorship and independence
Organizational articles are credited to OREBA.org. Individual authors and credentials will appear only when they are genuine and applicable. The publication does not claim a fabricated editorial board, scientific affiliation or review process.
Conference coverage is independent of the organizers. The historical use of the oreba.org domain does not establish current official conference status. Original organizers' photographs, logos and text are not reproduced without an appropriate licence.
Dates and maintenance
The publication date describes the article, while event dates describe the event. An updated date changes after an actual content revision. A last-reviewed date records a completed evidence review and can change without altering the article’s modification date.
Event listings are reviewed monthly and when an official change becomes known. Market data is reviewed with new source reports and at least annually; commercial-production and policy claims require at least quarterly review. Evergreen science is reviewed when relevant evidence or a correction becomes known.
Past events move into the completed or historical section. Older statistics retain their reporting year when no newer verified data is available. Dates are not advanced automatically to create an appearance of freshness.
Corrections
A material factual correction changes the affected text and includes a dated public note explaining the correction. The internal correction record retains the previous claim, corrected statement, reason and supporting source. Typographical edits do not require a formal correction notice.
For a correction suggestion, identify the article and passage, explain the issue and supply the best available primary evidence. Conference schedules and source-access limitations are especially useful to distinguish from confirmed scientific outcomes.
